As far as the gossip goes, that’s the best of it. Don’t really recall much else. Did have an intructor that worked under Francis Ford Coppola for a year or so though. I took the course at the NYFA because I have always wanted to pursue film as a career. Hadn’t done much with film up to that point so the course worked well.
I guess at this point i am an “aspiring” filmmaker. Have tried to market one of my NYFA student films to a few festivals (one still haven’t heard back from) though to no avail thus far. If all goes well I will be shooting my first “apart-from-school” short this weekend. Kevin Smith remains a good inspiration, seeing as he got his start by maxing out 4 credit cards to shoot “Clerks”.
