This is a poem I constructed from words cut out of headlines in a newspaper. Here it loses some of the visual collage effect of the cut-and-paste words, but I will try to reflect some of the visuals with CAPS.
as the WHITE HOUSE funds weapons of war
and America ADVANCES on Iraq,
Immigrants live in a cramped school
for the OUTDATED system of
profit and DEVELOPMENT;
here unsettled protestors rally for peace
and discontented voters
look for CHANGE.
