The sample which features the quote is actually taken from the film Jacob’s Ladder, ironically enough, starring Tim Robbins. Now there’s a weird movie. I’ll have to think a little more before I can comment intelligently, but it reminds me of George MacDonald’s cryptic suggestions that the fire of Heaven and Hell are the same thing. Purifying and destroying.
