the roman life and culture section of the collins latin dictionary gives the date of the foundation of rome by romulus as 753 BC, and alaric and the goths didn’t capture and destroy rome until 410 AD. just a tad more than 200 years. it’s also hard to spot the stages of tyler’s cycle in their history – but then i don’t really know very much about it…
