Hmm
I come from Canada, where everyone praises our social systems as things to be craved for, well out side many of us that live under it… The grass is always greener I guess.
We all need to know the social programs don’t do much to stop abortion, they do little to nothing to give a long term quality of life, these things are brought on by people choosing to give up of their own lives and pour into another’s life. This aspect so often gets talked about here as being true pro life, being it about more then the number killed but of quality of life after the fact is nice and true, but the side that the government can really help with it has major problems, more people are still concerned with their convenience rather then the quality of life of the other hence the quality of life of one saved through any form of governmental support is very often not actually offered a higher quality of life, quality of life in such situations is found in people pouring forth their lives for these people.
It’s wonderful to hear that you live in seeking the redemptive, my heart is muchly the same, where we differ is that I find that the social programs do many times less than what one person with a heart like yours will for a situation. Yes some make very good use of the extra money the government gives them, others waste it on personal convenience and so forth, because what one is made of before they get any of the support is from a government program is what they are going to be in it, and after it. The redemptive is and always must be found in people, really church based or volunteer based groups are far better equipped and able to come into individual situation and bring about a redemptive response from any involved, and we really need to understand that set and our focus there or all we do really will be in vein.
