how refreshing.
of course issues of practicality are tied up with issues of morality (otherwise people who do things others consider wrong are merely ‘bad people’).
there is a book called ‘spiritual midwifery’ which details the work of a particular pro-life community (amish i think) who looked after those women who felt they had no choice but abortion. they often took on the upbringing of the child after its birth if the mother did not want/ couldn’t look after it themselves. if people want to go round preaching about how wrong abortion is i feel they have no choice but to offer the same or similar care. if they can’t do this they should keep their opinions to themselves.
