Ok, we see where in he be wrong – alas, is there any rightness about the quote?
Like the 5 steps in the grieving process, ((1) denial, (2) bargaining, (3) anger, (4) despair, (5) acceptance), which rarely occure in order – I can see how how each step of societal development can proceed from the other.
The thing that prevents any society/ country (a country/nation can be its own society, its own civilization) from following this outline exactly, is the ability of people to re-invent themselves and to make corrections once they become aware of the process and its repercussions.
