Yeah.
A lot of people for whom I feel a sense of love aren’t the types to think too hard about context and the ethics of deliberately mischaracterizing somebody else’s words OR they get into a “they”-do-it-too kind of thing which becomes a downward spiral of what-aboutery.
I’ve found it helpful to try and challenge people to think harder about their Us and Them and all the ways we do the doublethink all day long.
We’ve gotta keep on going.
It’s hard and good and funny. And it’s all we can do.
We have the right to remain silent.
