Thanks for the post david. I sat down in my cube this morning and flipped on the computer, only to find an email from a friend asking me about last night’s debate. She continued with "I was absolutely aghast that he [Kerry] actually said that terrorism is overrated and that it should be treated like what it is.
I’ve find it increasingly difficult to read things like the above quote, knowing there are friends of mine who are politically active, though obviously not listening close enough. It seems she was spitting back the FOX version of the story, and not her own assessment from actually having watched Mr. Kerry.
I think Jon Stewart got it right on the “Daily Show” when commenting with Senior Convention Analyst, Stephen Colbert on Zell Miller’s tirade, and he said, “I don’t understand how you can’t see that this speech appeals to the worst in people’s nature”
I think that’s what the GOP are really good at. Appealing to the worst in people’s nature.
