yeah. i saw the songwriter’s forum night, on Austin City Limits, which was Emmy Lou, Julie Miller, Dave Matthews, and Patti Griffin. they sat around "passing the guitar." when i started to see the inter-genre community that existed within this group of people that were so important to me, i was amazed. (julie and buddy, emmy lou, victoria, lucinda, patti griffin, innocence mission, over the rhine, etc.) it’s beautiful, and very driving.
