i don’t mean to interject here, but i’m really glad that you brought up the fact of god being a mother-role.
it’s so important to dissemble unhealthy images, where possible, rather than allowing the traditional stereotypes of god or christians to remain standing and strong, why not lead people to the truthful characterstics of both, etc. a good album on this topic would be (one of my favorite artists) "Universal Mother" by sinead o’connor. it talks of the truth that children retain, both literally and metaphorically. anyway, it’s comforting to see people in music stress the important of a non-restraintive god. it is covered a lot in writing, but not often in music. thanks.
