I don’t know if anyone is still reading this discussion, but I have always understood this song, even if the meaning is only apropos to my own experience.
A number of years ago, my church was altered by a heretical doctrine that sowed discord throughout the body. I see this sng as about this type of false teaching.
I can’t go into a line by line reading here, but it has to do with being fed something that breathes like dark and swallowing it.
I hope that that’s not too cryptic, but I am on a timed cafe computer that is about to kick me off.
